Thunderbolts* hits the track as CUPRA KIRO and Marvel Studios join forces
CUPRA KIRO joins forces with Marvel Studios in ground-breaking partnership to bring Thunderbolts* to the world of Formula E
CUPRA, in collaboration with Kiro Race Co, is delighted to join forces with Marvel Studios for the 2025 Miami E-Prix to promote its upcoming film, Thunderbolts*.
Directed by Jake Schreier and featuring an ensemble cast including Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, and David Harbour, Thunderbolts* is the 36th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and will hit screens globally on 2 May 2025.
As the first partnership of its kind in Formula E, CUPRA KIRO’s collaboration with Marvel Studios represents a landmark moment for the team and series, with the World Championship continuing to cement itself as a cutting-edge platform for global brands to showcase their vision.
At the 2025 Miami E-Prix, which also marks the team’s first home race in Formula E, CUPRA KIRO will compete with a unique one-off special edition Marvel Studios livery where Thunderbolts* branding will feature prominently on the Gen3 EVO cars of drivers, Dan Ticktum and David Beckmann.
To celebrate the partnership, Marvel Studios will also create a limited-edition Formula E-themed comic strip, limited to a print run of 5,000 copies, available during the race weekend.
On-track running for the 2025 Miami E-Prix will commence at Homestead-Miami Speedway on 11 April, with the fifth round of the current campaign taking place on 12 April as Formula E returns to the city for the first time since 2015.
