CUPRA KIRO returns to Jeddah for first double-header of Season 12
CUPRA KIRO targeting further success as the FIA Formula E World Championship takes on the 2026 Jeddah E-Prix
This weekend, CUPRA KIRO heads to the shores of the Red Sea in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, for the fourth and fifth rounds – and the first double-header event – of the 2025/26 FIA Formula E World Championship season.
Upon making its debut on the Formula E calendar in 2025, the Jeddah E-Prix has quickly become one of the series’ most exciting races, and last year, saw the official debut of Pit Boost which raised the strategic stakes more than ever before.
With a pair of races taking place over the coming weekend, and with some team surprises in store, CUPRA KIRO drivers, Dan Ticktum and Pepe Martí, will have two opportunities to score points as the current campaign continues to gain momentum.
Get Up To Speed
Dan Ticktum, Driver, CUPRA KIRO
“Jeddah is one of the best circuits on the calendar, and I’m looking forward to driving the track this weekend. It’ll also be good to have JUCA back with us for EVO Sessions. We showed some good pace in Jeddah last season, and we have two races with it being a double header. Hopefully we can score some points, finally.”
Pepe Martí, Driver, CUPRA KIRO
“I’m very excited to race in Jeddah this weekend. I’ve raced here in the past with Formula 2 and finished on the podium, so it’ll be good to be in a familiar environment for the first time this season. Obviously, the track layout is completely different but we’re arriving here after consecutive points finishes in Mexico City and Miami so hopefully, we can maintain this streak and hopefully, aim for something that’s higher than seventh – our best result so far this season.”
Russell O’Hagan, Team Principal, CUPRA KIRO
“We’re arriving in Jeddah after a short turnaround from Miami, but everyone in the team has worked exceptionally hard to put us in the best possible position. We were quite competitive here in 2025, and although not everything has aligned yet this season, we’re in a much stronger position now compared to where we were 12 months ago. For Dan, this season hasn’t started how we wanted, but he’s coming into this weekend extremely focused, and very determined to get some points on the board. With two top 10 finishes in his first three races in Formula E, Pepe has exceeded our expectations, and it’s highly encouraging to see him operating at such a high level so early. He’s raced in Jeddah before with Formula 2, but this weekend will be his first experience of a Formula E double-header and Pit Boost, so there’s still plenty for him to learn. Our priority is to convert our learnings into results this weekend, and based on the pace we have shown, I think that a breakthrough result is within reach.”
