JUCA to drive third car for CUPRA KIRO at 2025 Miami E-Prix

Latin America's leading automotive content creator, JUCA, to race for CUPRA KIRO at the 2025 Miami E-Prix

CUPRA KIRO is delighted to announce that Latin America’s leading automotive content creator, Juca Viapri – known as JUCA – will race for the team at the upcoming 2025 Miami E-Prix in a specially granted third entry for the outfit’s home event.

JUCA’s arrival at CUPRA KIRO follows his impressive performance at Formula E EVO Sessions in March, where the Mexican showcased natural talent behind the wheel and an outstanding ability to adapt to the high-performance demands of the Gen3 EVO.

Having impressed the team’s engineers, coaching staff, and drivers, JUCA is now set to take on the challenge of competing in the world’s premier fully electric racing series and will make his competitive debut in Miami on 12 April 2025.

Born in Mexico City, JUCA has cultivated a dedicated following across social media, where his automotive tuning content has resonated with more than 18 million followers globally to make him a prominent figure in the automotive space. His transition into motorsport comes as the next logical step.

In preparation for his series debut at Homestead-Miami Speedway, CUPRA KIRO is supporting JUCA’s continued development with driver coaching, simulator training and physical conditioning, alongside private testing opportunities in Gen2 machinery.

By the Miami E-Prix, and ahead of a planned relocation to Silverstone, Northamptonshire, JUCA will be fully integrated into CUPRA KIRO’s operations and will work closely with Chief Operating Officer, Russell O'Hagan, and the team’s technical staff to ensure his seamless adaptation to Formula E.

JUCA, Driver, CUPRA KIRO
“I’m beyond excited to join CUPRA KIRO for the Miami E-Prix. I’ve always had a passion for high-performance cars, and especially racing, and earning the opportunity to compete in Formula E is something that I’ve worked incredibly hard for. From our first collaboration together at EVO Sessions, I’ve been integrating myself inside the team, and I’m looking forward to the challenge of racing against such a talented group of drivers. This is a dream come true for me, and I’m committed to put in the work and learn so I can perform at the highest level possible. After spending some time in the simulator, I’m feeling optimistic, and if the cards fall our way, I’m confident that we could be in for a good result.”

Russell O'Hagan, Chief Operating Officer , CUPRA KIRO
“We’re delighted that JUCA will be joining the team as our third driver for our home race in Miami. While his path to Formula E has been unconventional, we know talent when we see it, and his performance at EVO Sessions proved to us that he has the ability, the determination, and the adaptability required to succeed in Formula E. CUPRA KIRO’s mission is to push the boundaries of motorsport, and bringing in fresh talent like JUCA, outside of motorsport’s traditional talent pool, is part of our commitment to challenge the status quo and champion innovation and excellence. We are fully confident in his ability to rise to the challenge, and with appropriate preparation, believe he will be integral to the team’s future success on track.”
