CUPRA KIRO to kick-start 2026 with Mexico City E-Prix
CUPRA KIRO returns to the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City to resume the 2025/26 FIA Formula E World Championship season and celebrate Formula E’ 150th race
With momentum for the 2025/26 FIA Formula E World Championship season starting to build, CUPRA KIRO heads to the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez this weekend for the 2026 Mexico City E-Prix.
As one of the largest cities in the world, Mexico City is renowned for its culturally diverse and fervent motorsport following, and thanks to its passionate crowd, the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez is one of the most distinctive events on the Formula E calendar, presenting a unique experience for drivers and teams alike.
With the 2026 Mexico City E-Prix marking Formula E’s landmark 150th race, the stakes are naturally higher, but with a refocused mindset, CUPRA KIRO, Dan Ticktum, and Pepe Martí will hit the ground running with nothing but intent, ambition, and outright determination.

Dan Ticktum, Driver, CUPRA KIRO
“I’m looking forward to getting back in the car this weekend. Mexico City has a very special atmosphere and some great fans who are very passionate about motorsport and car culture. I love racing there. The car was in a great window in São Paulo and with some better luck, I’m pretty confident that we can have a good weekend and get our season started.”
Pepe Martí, Driver, CUPRA KIRO
“I’m looking forward to racing in Mexico City this weekend. Mexico is a country that I really love, and it’s a great place for me to bounce back after the abrupt end to my weekend in São Paulo. I’m excited to continue building upon my current momentum and growing my confidence across the weekend so I can continue to get up to speed in 2026.”
Russell O'Hagan, Team Principal, CUPRA KIRO
“The Mexico City E-Prix has been a cornerstone of the Formula E calendar since Season 2, so it feels incredibly fitting that the championship’s 150th race will take place here this weekend. In terms of the event itself, we arrive here incredibly motivated by both the potential, and frustration, of the race in Sao Paulo. I want to say a huge thank you to the team, and all our technical partners for the combined efforts in getting Pepe’s car repaired and back here. It’s time to kick start our season!”
