Facing a sprint to the chequered flag, Dan defended from Edoardo Mortara over the final four laps to stand on the top step in his 60th Formula E start, with his 25-point haul launching him to fifth in the World Drivers’ Championship.

“Today’s result is so much more than just a win – it’s a moment that some of us have been chasing for a decade. When we came into this season, practically everything was new. We welcomed new owners in The Forest Road Company, a new Co-Title Partner in CUPRA, and a new Technical Partnership with Porsche. Those changes gave us a clear set of goals, but before we could chase them, we had to build everything from the ground up. Since finding our competitive rhythm in Miami, we’ve gone from our first top five finish to our first podium, to now standing on the top step for the first time. Everyone in the team has worked relentlessly hard this season, and it fills me with pride to say that we turned belief into performance, and performance into victory. We’ve earned this result the hard way. It proves that CUPRA KIRO isn’t just here to compete – we’re here to win.”
Dan Ticktum, Driver, CUPRA KIRO
“So, there it is, as they say in the trade. I honestly didn’t think my first win in Formula E would come this year. I was expecting some good results, but I think what we’ve all achieved with our rate of improvement as a team so far this year has been remarkable. I’m doing a good job, the team is doing a good job, and it’s all come together. Obviously, none of this would have been possible without our change in ownership, and the support we receive from The Forest Road Company, CUPRA, and Porsche. We struggled at the beginning of the season, but now, we’re consistently putting the car in a position to chase and achieve big results. I’m very proud of the team, and it’s nice to shut up my haters as well.”
David Beckmann, Driver, CUPRA KIRO
“Unfortunately, this was not the weekend I was hoping for. We had a lot of potential in Qualifying, but it didn’t go as we expected. The session was very messy, and a lot of drivers were fighting for track position over the last laps which compromised my final run. Despite the starting position, we still had a lot of opportunities and gained a lot of positions during the race. We were very unlucky with the timing of the Full Course Yellows which overlapped with my Attack Mode, and at the end, I was pushed wide which cost me a lot of places. Dan and the team deserve a big congratulations today – they executed a good race, and I’m very happy for them. We will fight back in Berlin.”
Russell O’Hagan, Chief Operating Officer, CUPRA KIRO
“Today we achieved a fantastic team result that was made possible by us approaching the race in a methodical, calm way, and not forcing a result in difficult conditions. Our performance and execution are a sign of our confidence in everything that we have become, and I’m incredibly proud of the team for achieving yet another landmark moment this season. It’s going to take a while for this to really sink in!”
