Kiro Race Co extends relationship with CUPRA for GEN4

American racing team, Kiro Race Co, announces extension to CUPRA Co-Title Partnership for Formula E’s GEN4 era

Kiro Race Co is delighted to announce an extension to its partnership with CUPRA, with the Spanish automotive brand remaining as the team’s official Co-Title Partner into the FIA Formula E World Championship’s upcoming GEN4 era.

Following the team’s Formula E debut at the Season 11 São Paulo E-Prix, Kiro Race Co’s collaboration with CUPRA has gone from strength to strength to establish itself as one of the championship’s most exciting collaborations both on and off the track.

Together, racing as CUPRA KIRO, the team has secured three pole positions, four podium finishes and one victory to date, while cultivating a distinctive brand identity that combines high performance motorsport with commercial innovation.

Beyond the circuit, the partnership has delivered a series of standout activations, including a collaboration with the world’s biggest influencer, MrBeast, which generated more than 500 million social media views.

The team also secured a landmark partnership with Marvel Studios to promote the release of Thunderbolts* during the 2025 Miami and Monaco E-Prix – the first collaboration of its kind in Formula E – and teamed up with Amazon MGM Studios to celebrate the release of Masters of the Universe with a special-edition livery at the 2026 Monaco E-Prix, featuring Kiro Race Co Co-Owner, Sir Idris Elba, who stars in the film.

The extension represents yet another significant milestone in CUPRA’s ongoing commitment to electrification and performance, with the brand continuing to inspire a new generation through its radical approach to automotive design and technology having sold more than one million vehicles since its launch in 2018.

Together with Kiro Race Co, CUPRA will continue its journey in Formula E as the championship enters its most exciting era yet.

The 2026/27 season will introduce the all-new GEN4 car which represents the biggest technological leap in Formula E history.

Featuring 600kW of power (816 horsepower), active all-wheel drive, and 700kW regenerative braking capabilities, GEN4 will deliver unprecedented levels of performance while continuing to accelerate innovation in clean mobility.

CUPRA KIRO will continue to benefit from Porsche Motorsport’s championship-winning expertise in the 2026/27 season, with the German marque continuing as the team’s technical partner for GEN4.

The inaugural GEN4 season will begin this December in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, with a double-header weekend launching a record-breaking 21-race calendar featuring events in 13 global destinations including Mexico City, Miami, Austin, São Paulo, Berlin, Monaco, London, Zandvoort, Madrid, Shanghai, and Tokyo.

Under the ownership of The Forest Road Company, Kiro Race Co remains committed to partnering with industry-leading brands to elevate business through Formula E. Extending its relationship with CUPRA represents the next chapter in Kiro Race Co’s long-term commercial strategy, with further growth and new partnerships anticipated throughout 2026 and beyond.

Jeremy Tarica, President, The Forest Road Company
“Extending our relationship with CUPRA into the GEN4 era of Formula E is a hugely significant milestone for Kiro Race Co. In less than two years, we’ve established a partnership that has delivered success on track while simultaneously creating meaningful commercial opportunities that have connected with audiences far beyond motorsport. Formula E’s next chapter represents a bold step forward for the championship, and we’re equally ambitious about where we’re taking Kiro Race Co as a sports franchise. We’re incredibly proud that CUPRA has chosen to continue that journey with us. Together, we’ll continue to challenge convention, drive meaningful change, and create long-term value both on and off the circuit.”

Russell O’Hagan, Team Principal, CUPRA KIRO
“In Formula E, success is never built overnight. It’s built through consistency, trust, and long-term partnerships, so extending our relationship with CUPRA into the GEN4 era is fantastic news for everyone within the team. To have the continuation of the relationship in place before the current season has even reached its conclusion gives us a strong platform to continue building for the future. Over the past two seasons, we’ve developed a relationship that is built on shared ambition and a desire to challenge convention. That very alignment has shaped how we’ve gone racing and has helped us to establish a clear, distinctive identity both on and off the track. We’ve already shown what we’re capable of achieving together, but I firmly believe that the best is still to come. As Formula E enters a new chapter, it’s incredibly rewarding to know that we’ll be taking our next steps alongside a partner that shares our competitive mindset and our ambition to one day fight at the very front of the championship.”

Jon Wilde, Commercial Director, CUPRA KIRO
“CUPRA extending its partnership with Kiro Race Co serves as a powerful endorsement of both the platform we’ve built, and the commercial vision that underpins our organisation. Since day one, our ambition has been to create something that is more than just a team and as a result, we’ve built a business that enables world-leading brands to engage audiences through the unique intersection of sport, entertainment, and technology. Over the past two seasons we’ve demonstrated just what can be possible, and we have an opportunity to build on that even further in Formula E’s GEN4 era. As Formula E enters this next chapter, we’re excited to continue developing one of the most distinctive partnerships in the championship while welcoming even more ambitious, like-minded brands into the Kiro Race Co ecosystem.”
