CUPRA KIRO unveils special edition livery for 2026 CUPRA Raval Madrid E-Prix

CUPRA KIRO celebrates the 2026 CUPRA RAVAL Madrid E-Prix with special-edition livery

Ahead of the FIA Formula E World Championship’s highly anticipated return to Spain, Kiro Race Co has unveiled a special edition livery for the 2026 Madrid E-Prix, celebrating the team’s Co-Title Partnership with CUPRA and the upcoming release of the automotive brand’s urban electric car, the CUPRA Raval.

The Madrid E-Prix, which marks Formula E’s first race in Spain since 2021, represents a landmark competitive return to the country for the series and also marks a milestone moment for CUPRA KIRO driver, Pepe Martí, who will become the first Spanish driver to compete on home soil in the championship’s history.

The sixth round of the 2025/26 season, held at the Circuito del Jarama, will also see CUPRA serve as the event’s Title Partner, with the race officially known as the 2026 CUPRA Raval Madrid E-Prix, underscoring the significance of the weekend for the Spanish marque.

CUPRA KIRO’s special edition livery for Madrid, which will debut on track in FP1 on Friday 20 March, draws inspiration from the vibrant El Raval district of Barcelona – the namesake of the all-new CUPRA Raval.

Alongside blending Kiro Race Co’s signature fluorescent yellow with CUPRA’s copper tones, the livery incorporates a stylised map of El Raval, with the neighbourhood’s distinctive street layout bringing a camouflage-like design to the Formula E grid.

As one of Barcelona’s most dynamic districts, El Raval is known for its creativity, diversity, and rebellious spirit – three qualities that are mirrored in the character of the CUPRA RAVAL, the brand’s most radical interpretation of the urban electric car to date, bringing CUPRA’s emotional, performance-driven DNA to the city with striking design, sharp handling, and a very bold attitude.

Across the race weekend in Madrid, CUPRA will also offer audiences an early sneak peek of the CUPRA RAVAL through dedicated spaces and activations, with the race set to get underway on Saturday 21 March.

Jon Wilde, Commercial Director, CUPRA KIRO
“Having Spain return to the calendar for the first time since 2021 is a very special moment for Formula E, and with the Madrid E-Prix marking the home race of our Co-Title Partner, CUPRA, we wanted to do something that would truly showcase and celebrate our collaboration together. Unveiling our new special edition livery for this weekend, which is inspired by the El Raval district of Barcelona and showcases the very spirit of CUPRA’s new urban electric car, the Raval, is a striking and meaningful way to showcase our partnership on a global stage. As a team, we’re always exploring new ways as to how we can innovate in the commercial space. This project is the perfect example as to how we can bring together two like-minded brands, uniting performance with creativity, to create something that’s truly memorable and unique. We can’t wait to hit the track this weekend to bring Formula E racing back to Spain.”

Ignasi Prieto, Chief Brand Officer, CUPRA
“The CUPRA Raval Madrid E‑Prix is a milestone for our brand. For this race, we wanted our car to embody the spirit of Raval, so we created a special livery inspired by its bold, unconventional design. It reflects our attitude: progressive, electric, and ready to challenge the status quo. Racing is part of our DNA, and with this livery we are bringing the essence of the Raval streets to Madrid, showcasing the true character of the CUPRA Raval to fans and to the world of electric racing.”
