Alex Hui, Team Principal, CUPRA KIRO
“Given the pace that we showed earlier today, scoring only six points is disappointing, but we’ve had a very good day. Dan has been on fire all weekend, and from his first lap in practice, he’s been flawless. He hasn’t put a foot wrong. By starting from third, we were in a very strong position to fight for a podium, but after being forced off-track early on, and then being hit by two ill-timed Full Course Yellows, we were pushed on the back foot. That meant that we had to play catch up through no fault of our own. It’s a bitter pill to swallow, but we can take pride in the progress that we’ve made so far this season. In just five weekends, we’ve gone from fighting to be in the top 10 to contending for podiums. That’s an incredible step forward. We know that we’re capable of more, we know that we can score big, and we have another chance to go again tomorrow. We’re ready to fight.”

Dan Ticktum, Driver, CUPRA KIRO
“We’ve had a pretty good day overall. We hit the ground running this morning, and all round, the car was in a very good window, especially in one lap pace which was something we were previously missing. Monaco is a driver’s track, but the car was working very well with my style throughout. In the race, there were a few scenarios where I was just caught in the wrong place at the wrong time, and that was a bit of a shame. Obviously, [Nyck] De Vries pushed me off the track, but there’s nothing to be surprised about there – he does that to everyone at every opportunity. I was then pushed onto the outside from the hairpin down to Turn 9 which cost me a few places, and with the Full Course Yellows, we were put out of sequence with Pit Boost. We go again tomorrow.”

David Beckmann, Driver, CUPRA KIRO
“Today has been challenging. This weekend is my first time racing in Monaco in four years, but I feel like we’re definitely capable of achieving more. We were only eight-hundredths away from the duels today, and we were very unlucky in the race. I maintained my position at the start, moved into the top 10, but was put into the wall by [Edoardo] Mortara in the last corner. After that, the car was badly damaged, I lost a lot of speed, and it was difficult to maintain my energy targets. We were just very unlucky. Our pace is strong this weekend, the team is doing a very good job, and I can’t wait for tomorrow. The goal is to make it into the duels, start higher, and stay out of trouble which is never easy in Formula E. The car is fast, and I’m confident that my first points of the season are within reach.”

Russell O’Hagan, Chief Operating Officer, CUPRA KIRO
“We’ve had a fast and furious weekend so far. This morning, we pulled together a truly excellent team performance to set the fastest time in both practice sessions and achieve a well-deserved third on the grid in Qualifying. Like we anticipated, we had to navigate a very complex race shaped by Attack Mode, Pit Boost, and caution periods. I think there was, and is, still some room for improvement but being in the right place at the right time is what makes the difference between finishing seventh and being on the podium. We’re heading into tomorrow with a lot of confidence in our one lap pace, and we know what we need to do better in order to maximise the race.”
