CUPRA KIRO ready for milestone 2026 CUPRA Raval Madrid E-Prix

CUPRA KIRO heads to Spain for the 2026 CUPRA Raval Madrid E-Prix as Pepe Martí celebrates his first home race in Formula E and CUPRA heralds the upcoming launch of its highly anticipated urban electric car, the CUPRA Raval

After securing its first double points finish of the season in Jeddah, CUPRA KIRO enters the European phase of the 2025/26 FIA Formula E World Championship this weekend with the running of the 2026 CUPRA Raval Madrid E-Prix.

Marking Formula E’s long-awaited return to Spain, the 2026 CUPRA Raval Madrid E-Prix heralds the start of a new era for the series and the Circuito del Jarama, which served as the home of 2024/25 pre-season testing, providing a fitting stage for the milestone event.

Steeped in motorsport history, Jarama will set the scene for the home race of CUPRA KIRO’s Co-Title Partner, CUPRA, as well as for driver, Pepe Martí, who will become the first Spanish driver to compete on home soil in Formula E.

Arriving in Madrid with confidence high following a five-six finish in Saudi Arabia, CUPRA KIRO and drivers, Dan Ticktum and Pepe Martí, will turn their attention to delivering another standout performance in the sixth round of the season.

Hear From The Team

Dan Ticktum, Driver, CUPRA KIRO
“Obviously, this weekend’s race is a big event for our Co-Title Partner, CUPRA, and it’s one that we’re all looking forward to. Jarama is a good track to drive, and every lap is always fun and rewarding. Now that we have some points on the board this season, I really want to build on that and hopefully, we can have a good result in Madrid.”

Pepe Martí, Driver, CUPRA KIRO
“I’m very excited to race at home this weekend. We’re coming to Madrid following a very strong performance in Race 2 in Jeddah and in the team, hopes are very high. I think it would be ideal if we can maintain this upward trend of good performances and results, and for me, the goal is to score points. I’m very happy with how this season is progressing, and I’m very excited to race at home and to see Formula E’s Spanish fans. I’d love to reward them for their support with a strong finish.”

Russell O’Hagan, Team Principal, CUPRA KIRO
“We’re coming to Madrid off the back of a strong team performance in Jeddah, and after an intense run of races to start the season, it’s been valuable to have a short gap to reflect and improve. As Pepe’s home race and for also that of our Co-Title Partner, CUPRA, Madrid is a very special event for us, and while that naturally brings extra attention, we’re approaching it with excitement rather than pressure. Formula E is a momentum-driven championship, so our focus is on executing a clean weekend and building on our recent form, targeting more points. After the race, we’ll also be taking part in Formula E’s in-season rookie test, and we’re looking forward to having Bianca [Bustamante] back in the car alongside Cian Shields.”
